A Study on the Experience o f Changes in L ives and the Support Needs of People with Muscular Disabilities A fter the Outbreak of Covid-19

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the changes in life and support needs experienced by people with muscle disabilities after the outbreak of COVID-19.
In order to achieve the research purpose, in-depth interviews with five people with muscle disabilities were conducted using written interviews and non-face-to-face online interviews to collect qualitative research data. The collected data were analyzed using a case study method that can reveal the specificity of individual cases. The research topics were categorized into two major topics and six sub-topics. In conclusion, changes in life experienced by muscle-disabled people after the outbreak of COVID-19 were catastrophic experiences, fraud alone on remote islands, risk of life, uncontrollable reality, finding hope and respecting diversity. Considering these research findings the study made policy implications for improving lives of people with muscular disabilities.
